I believe that God's way of living is one of fullness - of abundance. Jesus' plan is for our lives to be so stuffed with the goodness of healthy, delicious foods and happy, productive relationships that we don't have room for the sinful world around us.

Kruncy Kale - For Your Munchies
Aren't there times when you just really need something munchy and "naughty"? Different strokes for different folks, but these have passed the picnic-sharing taste test, and my kids were fighting over the last of them at supper last night. (You didn't think my boys were angels did you?)
You can play with these - there are myriads of possibilities with these. They serve well to satisfy the munchies for me (and provide an amazingly accessible source of calcium)!
Warning - This stuff is a bit addictive. :-)
Krunchy Kale
½ cup sesame seeds
½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup nutrional yeast flakes
2 teaspoons onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons spirulina powder, optional
1-3 tablespoon Bragg's Aminos or soy sauce
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup water
1 pound Kale
1.Blend all but the kale until very smooth.
2.Break the kale into bite-sized pieces, 2" square, removing the large stems.
3.Massage the creamy mixture into the kale, bruising it and working it all over the leaf.
4.For the "raw" version spread out on dehydrator trays and dehydrate at 105 overnight. : For the cooked version, spread out on cookie sheets and bake at 200 for 30 minutes, flip and bake for another 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
5.Store in extremely airtight containers to maintain crispness!
The spirulina is optional because, though it makes these chips very healthy and delicious, and much prettier, it also lends it a "green" taste, which some people might not prefer.
The Bragg's liquid aminos amount varies significantly because people's tastes in salt vary so much. I'm a 2 tablespoon girl myself.
Have a great day!
Melanie

Oh you guys! Two notes... First, This works without the oil, too, which is very nice for those trying to loose weight. Also - I tried it with Cabbage in the dehydrator. Took a long time, but it's kinda' neat, too. A little more "different" - for hard core veggie folk! lol - A good way to use up cabbage which is super cheap.
